A clear lesson rhythm, every session.

Students always know what to expect — and always leave with something practical to apply before the next lesson.

Focused teaching input

A clear, sequenced input on the week's core skill — reading, analysis, or a specific writing technique.

Guided modelling

The tutors model exactly what a top answer looks like, unpacking the thinking behind every sentence.

Active practice

Students apply the skill live — with prompts, timed extracts and structured planning.

Structured feedback

Written work is reviewed against AQA mark schemes so students always know how to move up a grade.

What we cover

The full AQA English curriculum

Our programmes cover the full GCSE English Language and Literature specification, taught in a sequence that layers knowledge over the year — rather than jumping between disconnected topics.

Alongside our complete AQA programmes, students can receive focused tuition on individual English Language and Literature modules throughout the year. This includes specific texts and exam components such as Macbeth, poetry, English Language Paper 1 and other areas where additional support is needed.

Also available

KS3 English support — Years 7 to 9.

For families laying the groundwork before GCSE, tailored KS3 sessions build reading comprehension, analytical writing and the study habits that make GCSE achievable.
